Walk in the park, around 1850-1860 Folded fan, double leaf in gouache painted skin, in the taste of the Gimbel brothers, of an elegant assembly enjoying the freshness of a park before boarding for a walk. Reversal decorated with golden garlands framing love stories that display the number "MCE" under the royal crown of the recipient. It could be Marie-Christine, queen and then regent of Spain (1806-1878), a rich ivory frame* pierced, sculpted and engraved with love and gallant couples. On the plumes, the fidelity dog and two doves. At the top, a couple is crowned by love. H.t. 28.8 cm-H.f. 12.3 cm (very good condition) NB: S. Blondel writes about the Gimbel brothers: "It is to the fertility of their brush that we can attribute, in part, the resurrection of the ancient fan (...). The sheets made by these two artists are rarely signed. S.
