Brussels applique flyer, Maison Lefébure, late 19th century. Decorated with a falling river made in needlepoint and inlaid in tulle, held by a bouquet of foliage topped by a conifer, a motif rarely used in the decorative register of lacemaking, and undulating garland of foliage and daisies with bobbins punctuated by a rose in needlepoint, border with leaves cut out in bobbin lace Dim. 2,10 m x 36 cm (good condition, a small hole, some delicate resumptions to the tulle) Provenance: sale of October 3, 1989, Lefébure fund, Ionesco study in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
