Large folio, full calf brown binding titled in gold lettering on the first cover under English royal crown, smooth spine, formerly gilt edges, embellished with 56 N plates. B. and colours, from the main countries of the world. Specially printed copy for the Emperor Dom Pedro. Carries the ex-libris of Prince Michel d'Orléans, Text in English. Uses of time, as is. See illustration on page 71. Provenance: work offered to Emperor Dom Pedro II of Brazil (1825-1891), then passed on by the descendants of his daughter, Princess Isabelle d'Orléans-Bragance, Countess of Eu (1846-1921).
