Beautiful set of five portraits woven on silk in grisaille and in color, including a portrait of Emperor Napoleon III adorned with the imperial coat of arms by the Carquillat house in Lyon; a bust portrait of Napoleon III; a family scene depicting Napoleon III, his wife Empress Eugenie and the imperial prince, signed L.F. Cie, dated 1862; Emperor Napoleon III and his wife Empress Eugenie surrounded and topped by wreaths of flowers, signed L.F. Cie, dated 1855; a historical scene depicting the Queen of France, signed L.F. Cie, dated 1855. Napoleon III and his wife, Empress Eugénie, surrounded and crowned with wreaths of flowers, signed L.F. Cie, dated 1855; a historical scene depicting Queen Victoria in the arms of Napoleon III, a souvenir of the Queen's official visit to Paris on August 20, 1855. Each piece is preserved in a frame. French work, 19th century Second Empire period. Age wear, foxing. Various formats.
