KONTCHALOVSKI Piotr Petrovitch (1876-1956). Bridge over a river. Charcoal drawing on paper signed lower right with the artist's initials in Latin letters and dated 1920 with the inscription in Cyrillic characters: "I offered this drawing to my dear V.P. Muratov". Preserved under glass in a modern giltwood frame. Slight tears, small tears and traces of moisture, but overall good condition. Sight: H.: 36 cm - W.: 46 cm. Frame: H.: 65 cm - W.: 75 cm. Reference: Our drawing was a gift from the artist to Professor Muratov. He was Ksenia Muratova's grandfather. Professor Muratov was a military doctor who helped P. Konchalovsky to be discharged from the army after being slightly wounded in the First World War. Provenance: Macdougall Arts Ltd, London, 11/29/2007, lot no. 115.
