273. Traditional headdress, Alsace (?), early 19th century, rigid capote in brocaded silver lamé brocaded polychrome silk and filé laughing with flowering branches. Passage bordered with silver bobbin lace and a brassy halo of tulle and lace. Large ribbon bow on the nape of the neck (distorted and worn). Approx. 25 cm high.
