Important pair of monumental columns in Povonazzetto marble (or antique Phrygian marble) surmounted by a Corinthian capital in chased and gilded bronze. This pair of columns is based on the famous columns in porphyry and antique alabaster with flowers, mounted by Pierre Gouthière, from the former collections of the Duc d'Aumont, acquired by Louis XVI in 1782 and now housed in the Musée du Louvre.
