Pair of beards, Mechelen, spindles, circa 1740-50. Flexible scrolled cartouches worked with various points and structuring the beard in three parts decorated with exotic flowers, carnations and pomegranates against a background of the Mechelen braided network, large cartridge with medallions each decorated with a large eight-pointed star punctuating the end of each beard. White linen. Dim. 53 cm x 10 cm at the widest, each (small accidents and restoration, washed, bleached)
