Henry Gerbault (1863-1930), Flying Hearts, 1883 Fan leaf unfolded and painted with a love in the form of a young boy touching a winged heart with one of his arrows, while a multitude of others fly away into the distance. He is perched on a figure "MITGE", on which his quiver is suspended. Signed and dated lower right "Henry Gerbault/ 1883". H.f. 17 cm (wear, stains) In a frame with a gilded rod form.
