Plaisirs champêtres, circa 1740 Folded fan, a leather leaf painted with two cartels in a setting of bunches of grapes, feathers and Chinese inspired subjects. On the left, a couple during the harvest; and on the right, a couple singing and playing music. Back: a farmer carrying a Norman milk stick, and a fisherman. Closed, the fan has its original border painted with a flower. ivory frame * pierced, carved and engraved burgauté and enhanced in colors with a couple of gallant and chinese decoration.H.t. 26 cm- H.f. 11,5 cm (missing, worn) Source: former Lucien Duchet collection, n° 34.
