A silver ewer, in the spirit of French silversmithing from the early 18th century, the octagonal body with panels, the base of the body decorated with appliques of lambrequins and reeds on an Amati background. The body engraved with mantling in several registers separated by a net. The pedestal decorated with mantling. The pouring spout decorated with a mascaron topped with a Superb handle with a moving plume and thumb support adorned with a figure of a woman in a round bump. The lid is decorated with a slight relief on an Amatis background of lambrequins, with an egg frieze border. The BB engraved back. Accident at the lid hinge. Minerva punch 1st title. Goldsmith, Henri Gauthier, active between 1902 and 1920. Weight: 1264g Height: 24,2cm.
