volubilis and knotted ribbons, late 19th century
early 20th
century.
Large banqueting tablecloth in fine linen damask
linen damask, with soft rose stems and foliage
and their foliage, disheveled tulips,
eglantines, periwinkles, grasses, daisies and poppies
poppies held in place by a knotted ribbon, the border structured
by bamboos with the same knotted ribbon and volubilis
on either side.
AJP monogram and finely embroidered "Rochefort" listel
embroidered with plumetis and sandpoint.
Dim. tablecloth 10 m x 2.80 m (very good condition, never used, some stains and storage marks).
