It is a miraculous statue preserved in Copacabana. Seated on a canopied throne, she holds the infant Jesus in the crook of her left arm. In the middle of a village, this statue of the Virgin Mary offers her protection to the population and becomes a huaca, meaning sacred object in Quechua.
