Three rare porcelain tea bowls and display stands decorated with a European riding an elephant. China. Yongzheng period (1723- 1735)
Provenance: John Sparks Ltd, London
Decorated in famille rose enamels with a European man, probably Dutch, riding an elephant. He is followed by two servants, each carrying porcelain vases embellished with coral.
Size: 11.5 x 6 cm

Another tea bowl with this decoration is in the Henry Francis Dupont Museum
