Secretary desk in tulipwood, amaranth and veneer, opening with a drawer in the waist decorated with an inlay of interlacing and florets, a flap inlaid with an antique caprice of cattle in antique ruins revealing four compartments and six drawers, surmounting a cupboard opening with two leaves inlaid with an antique décor of two swans in a lakescape. The side panels feature inlaid antique architecture. The uprights have canted sides simulating fluting. Gilt bronze ornamentation such as corner falls, key escutcheons, sockets, frames and sabots. Languedoc red marble top. Louis XVI period, stamped by Charles Topino reçu maître in 1773 and marked JME.
