Indian curtain, mid-18th century, fine printed cotton canvas, painted and dyed by mordanting and resist, the blue pinched. Repeated decoration with two golden pheasant paths on a pierced rock on which stands a gnarled tree in blossom. Blue canvas lining, (some minor damage, soiling), 284 x 78 cm, bottom width 130 cm.
