The king's carriage in the foreground passes the illuminated Latone basin and the perspective towards the Château de Versailles, above which the sky is ablaze with fireworks. This plate is taken from André Félibien's "Relation de la fête donnée à Versailles le 18 juillet 1668", and corresponds to the fifth day of the festivities.
