STELLETSKY Dimitri Semenovitch (1875-1947). Arrival of the Imperial Procession at the Moscow Kremlin. Sanguine and pastel on cardboard signed lower right in Cyrillic characters by the artist "Stelletsky", preserved under glass in an antique stained wood frame. Age wear to the frame and edges of the drawing. Sight: H.: 52 cm - W.: 74.5 cm. Frame: H.: 74 cm - W.: 96 cm. Provenance : former French private collection. Biography: Dimitri Semenovitch Stelletsky was a painter, sculptor and theater designer. He studied with Hugo Salemann and Vladimir Beklemisheff at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in Saint Petersburg from 1896 to 1903. He became a member of Le Monde de l'Art in 1911 and of the Union of Russian Painters, where he exhibited from 1911 to 1913. After the First World War, he emigrated to Paris, founded the L'Icône company and decorated several churches belonging to the Russian émigré community in France.
