Wide Mezzo Punto borders, Italy, 2nd half 17th century. Cream-colored linen with floral motifs, one in the imitation of Venice flat stitch: the branches in woven lace and the flowers in needle lace, motifs linked by fine needle bridles, Dim. 160 + 40 = 2 m x 19 cm, the other in the imitation of Venice Gros Point, the motifs in bobbin lace with needle fills in various stitches, over-thick embroidery, simple bridles linking the motifs. Set on light blue silk. Dim. 1.30 m x 17 cm (good general condition, some restorations or minor loosening).
