Rare princely wreath border, spindles, Denmark, early 19th century. In cotton (or silk?) of great finesse, the low border features a garland of twining branches with graceful cut-out leaves and daisies, and a semiset of closed crowns in square spirit stitch, bringing great lightness to the design of this lace, Dim. 3.20 m x 9.5 cm (good condition, a few minor repairs and restorations) We enclose a border in Lille lace, Dim. 1.95 m x 10 cm (a few minor alterations).
