Four embroidered handkerchiefs, 2nd half of the 19th century. In hand-spun linen very finely embroidered with plumetis and sable stitch and adorned with Alençon-style needlepoint fashions, three with floral decorations and one with undulating ribbon, flounce in hand-spun Valenciennes for all four (one in good condition, a small pinhole for two, stains and small accidents for the one with ribbon).
