Needlepoint Alençon lace ruffle, 1st third of the 19th century. Rare flounce for the period in this width, decorated with a frieze of fine branches loaded with leaves and berries, well supported by a repetition of medallions in the lower border and a semiset of alternating motifs in diagonal lines. Simple Alençon network. Ivory linen. Dim. 5.95 m x 17 cm (very small holes in the lattice, small scattered stains).
