Spindle lace border, Milan, last quarter of 17th century. Mirrored decoration of fine twigs in complex circonvolutions, drawing multiple motifs of florets and small cartouches adorned with various stitches and linked by double picoté bridles. Tightly woven cream linen. Small blue paper seals embossed DB for one and PR (?) for the other. Dim. 4.25 m x 14 cm (good condition, two discreet seams, rare pale stains). Cf.
