Needlepoint lace, Italy, late 17th century. An extremely fine Venice flat-stitch border decorated with soft twigs, exotic flowers decorated with various stitches and foliage, ivory linen, Dim. 79 cm x 6.5 cm (good condition, small lower border later) and a large lace collar (later reassembly) decorated with fine twigs in circumvolution and small motifs with various stitches.
