An important half-moon console in oak, very finely carved and gilded, standing on four fluted and rudentée legs with asparagus and acanthus leaf capitals, joined by a strut topped by a fire pot with a grained laurel garland, the belt pierced with a frieze of alternating fleuron and sunflower blossoms. White marble top. H.: 90 cm - W.: 144.5 cm - D.: 55.5 cm Louis XVI period Attributed to Georges Jacob (Re-gilding, small dents, small chips on the back of the marble, previously restored). This type of openwork frieze and a very similar construction can be found on a pair of consoles attributed to Georges Jacob from the Château de Saint-Cloud in the Mobilier National collection.
