Queen's chair in molded wood and cream varnish. The clasp is decorated with a stylized shell. The front crosspiece features a stylized medallion. Cambered scrolled legs topped with a rocaille shell. Trim in silk damask on a blue background. Louis XV period. H.: 96.5 cm; W.: 55 cm; D.: 44 cm (Accents, restorations, later upholstery, later reinforcements) This type of rocaille decoration on our chair is one of those produced by the great Cresson family, active during the Regency and Louis XV periods. Provenance: former collection of Paul Mériguet, creator of the workshop Mériguet-Carrere
