Moïse KISLING (1891-1953) Bouquet de fleurs Oil on canvas signed lower left and bearing a dedication "À C. Medici avec mes hommages Kiki". Numerous labels on the back 73 x 54 cm Moïse Kisling, sometimes nicknamed Kiki, is one of the leading figures of the École de Paris. Renowned for his portraits and female nudes, Kisling also built his reputation on his depictions of bouquets of flowers. In the early 20th century, he moved to Montmartre and then Montparnasse, where he frequented fashionable artists such as Picasso and Amedeo Modigliani. A veritable artistic meeting point, his studio was frequented by many Ecole de Paris artists, earning him the title of Prince de Montparnasse
