SERGE GAINSBOURG: An original glass ashtray, specially engraved at Serge Gainsbourg's request, to mark Johnny Hallyday's 38th birthday. At the party organized by Sam Bernett at Martine's, Porte Dauphine, Paris, on June 17, 1981, Gainsbourg presented the rocker with this ashtray, with this text etched in acid into the glass: "Dieu est un fumeur de Havanes et de Gitanes" ("God is a Havana and Gitana smoker"), with Serge Gainsbourg's signature also etched into the bottom of the ashtray. Format 11x11 cm. With black leather base. A rare and unique piece.
