[LIMBURG STIRUM HOUSE]. Set comprising a small oval commemorative silver-plated brooch with openwork decoration of the initials EVP under a royal crown; a commemorative corsage brooch decorated with a crowned lion in silver, holding in its claws a coat of arms of the House of Limburg Stirum under a gold county crown; a black enameled metal element applied with the monogram L (Limburg) under a silver county crown and a monogram MLS (Mary Limburg Stirum) under a crown. Weathered, but overall good condition. Lion brooch: Hallmark: 585 (14 k), 800. Weight: 16 g. H. 2.5 cm - L. 3.5 cm ; H. 5.5 cm - L. 4 cm ; H. 6.5 cm - L. 2.5 cm. Provenance: former collection of Count Jules de Limburg Stirum (1877-1954) and his wife née Mary-Joy Newland (1883-1960).
