Photographic portrait of Princess Marie d'Orléans (1865-1909), wife of Prince Waldemar of Denmark (1858-1939), posing seated in her salon at the Palais Gule (Yellow Palace) in Copenhagen, signed J. Petersen & Sön in Copenhagen. Jaune) in Copenhagen, signed J. Petersen & Sön in Copenhagen, preserved in its original rectangular silver frame, decorated with fine fluting held in place by crossbars and surmounted by a ribboned bow. Enclosed is a small silver travel paint box used by the princess and a silver business card case engraved with her handwriting: "Noël 1903". Glass damage, missing, as is.
