History: This piece comes from the dessert service ordered and delivered for Prince Joachim Murat shortly after his marriage to the Emperor's sister, Caroline Bonaparte.
Napoleon I, Caroline Bonaparte (1782-1839). It is very likely that this children's model was intended for their eldest son, Prince Achille Murat (1808-1815).
The entire set of tableware was destined for the Hôtel Thellusson, then the Hôtel de l'Élysée (now the Palais de l'Élysée), successive residences of the Murat family in Paris.
