LIBRARY OF THE DAUPHINE OF FRANCE. Office de la semaine sainte, en latin & en françois à l'usage de Rome & de Paris, publié à Paris, chez la Veuve Mazières et Garnier, imprimeur de la Reine et de Mme la Dauphine, 1746, 708 pages, gilt edges, format in-8° (200x125 mm), contemporary binding in red morocco, entirely decorated on each cover with a rich rocaille décor in small irons, in the center of which appear the large arms of Marie-Josèphe de Saxe, Dauphine de France and her interlaced monogram, framed at each corner by a fleur-de-lys, spine decorated with fleur-de-lys, title in gold lettering. Edition in Latin and French. Significant wear, as is. History: Marie-Josèphe de Saxe (1731-1767), married Prince Louis of Louis de France, future Dauphin of France (1729-1765). She was the mother of the last three kings of France: Louis XVI, Louis XVIII and Charles X.
