Small working table in amaranth, ebony and burr walnut veneer, opening with a drawer and a flap revealing several compartments and a mirror. The curved legs are adorned with brass fillet. Lock marked Maison Alfonse Giroux Paris. Napoleon III period H.: 73 cm - W.: 51 cm - D.: 36 cm The Paris-based firm Alphonse Giroux was active from 1799 to 1867, specializing in tabletterie and cabinetmaking. Several of their products are preserved in the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
