Rare pair of carved pine consoles, molded and green relacquered. The richly carved belt adorned with a central stylized triglyph base and garlands of grained laurels. The uprights are inverted consoles decorated with foliage and Greek frieze scrolls. Grey veined marble top. Italian work in the neoclassical style of the late 18th century. H. 87 cm - W. 110 cm - D. 52 cm Provenance : Michel Meyer Antiquaire, Paris, October 17, 1981 This work is reminiscent of the ornamental style established by Jean Charles Delafosse (1734-1789).
