Suite of eight chairs in carved, molded and white lacquered wood, the back and seat in square form, the waistband with connecting dice decorated with flowers, resting on tapered legs with curved flutes. Louis XVI period, stamped by Jean-Baptiste Lebas (1729-1795), master on July 29, 1729. H. 88.5 cm - W. 49 cm - D. 45 cm (wear to lacquer and trim; stains) After practicing on rue de Cléry, at the Saint-Esprit, Jean-Baptiste Lebas retired to rue Beauregard. Mme du Barry invited him to participate in the installation of the Louveciennes pavilion. Provenance : Jacques Perrin gallery in Paris (according to family tradition).
