Cylinder desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer. The cylinder reveals an interior with two compartments, three side-by-side drawers and a leather-tensioned sliding writing surface. The belt features a central drawer flanked on either side by two superimposed drawers. Two leather-wrapped side pulls. It stands on four tapered legs. Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes such as openwork gallery, fleururette, filleted frames, lock escutcheons, handles and draw knobs, knotted leafy falls and sabots. Louis XVI period. Stamped by Jean Caumont (1736-1800) received master on December 14, 1774.
