Rectangular brown tortoiseshell fly box with arabesque frieze inlay in two-tone 750th gold. The lid is decorated with an oval miniature, painted in gouache on ivory, depicting a three-quarter-length man wearing a red frock coat and a black ribbon in his hair. The compartmented interior contains a mirror and a small brush. Second half of the 18th century.
