Signed documents december 11, 1766 THE REPRESSION OF POACHING, THE HUNTING OF THE POOR, IN THE TOULOUSE COUNTRYSIDE UNDER THE ANCIEN RÉGIME 1 "Louis Clergue, former Procureur au Parlement de Toulouse, juge ordinaire et gruyer du marquisat de Castelnau (...) in defiance of royal ordinances and other wise regulations (...) several individuals who have no right to hunt, even artisans, peasants and others made to live by daily labor, favor daily hunting (...) with rifles, and by force of dogs (...).) others make it their trade to tighten collars and laces daily, not only in the woods but even in the sown fields (...) they soon become accustomed to dissipation, perhaps even to debauchery...", 6 pp. in-4 on stamped paper, brown ink signed "Deyrane, greffier"; 2. duplicate of the preceding document, but with numerous erasures and corrections, 6 pp. in-4.
