LOUIS (PHILIPPE VII), prince d'Orléans, comte de Paris (1838 - Lot 256
LOUIS (PHILIPPE VII), prince d'Orléans, comte de Paris (1838-1894) L.A.S.: "Louis-Ph.", Lisbon, March 28, 1886, addressed to his aunt Princess Clementine d'Orléans de Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha (1817-1907), 2 pages, on her monogram letterhead under crown, text in French, good condition. "My dear aunt, would it be too much to ask You, to come and attend the wedding of Charles [refers to the Prince of Portugal, future King Charles I (1863-1908) with Princess Amélie d'Orléans]. Forgive me, but it is my ardent desire to have you at this celebration, which for you is doubly a family affair. Our two families are united and the dear aunt must not miss this party so dear to us all. I hope that you will agree to my request and that I will soon be able to kiss your hand in Lisbon. Believe me, dear aunt. Your most affectionate and devoted nephew".
