Portrait of the Duchesse d'Orléans, née Princess Louise-Henriette de Bourbon-Conti (1726-1759), posing in three-quarter view with a fur muff. Oil on canvas preserved in an antique carved and gilded wood frame. Restoration, minor missing frame, but overall good condition. Sight: H.: 67 cm - W.: 54 cm. Frame: H.: 91 cm - W.: 78 cm. 4,000/6,000 Background: this charming composition depicting Princess Clementine's great-grandmother is in fact an allegory of winter. It is related to a series of four pastels by Charles-Antoine Coypel (1694-1752), illustrating the four seasons.
