CLÉMENTINE, princesse d'Orléans (1817-1907) Ahasvérus on Christmas Day. Graphite drawing on paper pasted on sheet, from a sketchbook signed lower right with the artist's initials "C. O." (Clémentine Orléans) and dated "1836", with the artist's autograph text in French illustrating a passage from the book Ahasvérus la légende du juif errant: "Do you remember the day you first saw him? He was leaning against a pillar in the cathedral and you mistook him for a hard stone angel. It was Christmas Day". Good condition. Sight: H.: 42.5 cm - W.: 34 cm. Stand: H.: 51 cm - W.: 42.5 cm.
