ANTOINE, prince d'Orléans, duc de Montpensier (1824-1890). sixième et dernier fils du roi Louis-Philippe.
L.A.S.: "Antoine d'Orléans", Randan, September 10, 1879, addressed to his sister, Princess Clementine of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha (1817-1907), 93 pages, headed with her monogram of the residence of Sanlucar, the Château d'Eu, etc., in French. Text in French. Bends, traces of moisture, overall good condition. "What a void you've left my darling Clem, I look for you everywhere and can't find you anywhere. I hope you had a good trip and a good lunch in Nevers and that you will enjoy yourself this evening at the racecourse with Nemours, to whom I wrote yesterday and to whom you will send all my love. I didn't receive any letter for you in the mail, but I did receive the attached telegram at 9:1/2 am. I have passed it on to you despite its insignificance and I hope that Ferdinand and Clot [Clothilde] arrive on Thursday morning, otherwise it would be a great disappointment for you and a sorrow for us all to have lost you 24 hours too soon. I still hope to kiss you all on Friday at 9 ½. You know how much I love you. Kisses from all and to all. So much to you."
