Embroidered bedspread, Count's crown, circa 1830-40. Finely hand-embroidered linen with a very finely embroidered white frieze of florets and delicate foliage, the center with a large CD figure under a count's crown and surrounded by a frieze of similarly embroidered flowers, Valenciennes bobbin-pleated flounce on all four sides. Peach-colored silk fleece lining, probably rewound later. Dim. foot covers: 1.35 x 1.20 m excluding 8 cm flounce. (good condition, a few pale small stains, three weaknesses grouped in the linen)
