Benjamin Rabier, Umbrella, circa 1908 The wooden handle ends in a knob carved with a smiling rooster's head. Signature "Benjamin Rabier". Red cotton cover. Length 101 cm (insolation) N.B.: In 1908, the house of the Parisian fan maker Ernest Kees published a series of fans whose plumes were adorned with an animal figure by Benjamin Rabier, including this rooster.
