Écran à brevet de perfectionnement, circa 1870 Green silk screen. Carved wooden handle. The upper part decorated with a rosewood veneer and gilded brass fillet. A gilded brass plate on the side reads: "Brevet/de/Perfectnt / S.G.D.G.". [Brevet de perfectionnement sans garantie du gouvernement]. This model appears to be a further development of the "Ducrot" screen by Salomon-Isaac Meyer patented in 1870. L. 30 cm (wear) Read: M. Volet, "L'imagination au service de l'éventail.
