L'histoire de Jeanne d'Arc, France, circa 1850 Folded fan, double sheet in lithographed paper, colored and illustrated with seven scenes evoking the life of Joan of Arc. From left to right, La Pucelle tending her sheep, then fighting in the royal army, leading King Charles VII to his coronation in Reims and finally imprisoned before her execution. Embossed border decorated with standards and helmets. Reverse: Asian-style paper with flowers and stylized rocks. White mother-of-pearl mounting, engraved and gilded with stylized flowers. H.t. 26.5 cm-H.f. 10.5 cm (good condition)
