CHINE, XVIIIe siècle Rare and important carved celadon jade group Taking the form of a rock in which is nestled the meditating Arhat Ajita, holding his staff and prayer book in one hand, and a rosary in the other. The rock is planted with numerous pine branches. The other side features a richly landscaped scene of two fallow deer among bread. The celadon-toned stone is delicately_x001e_veined_x001e_with rust.
