Sultana and courtesans, France, circa 1850 Folded fan, the double sheet in lithographed paper painted in grisaille with a gallant scene inspired by the 18th century. The reverse is illustrated with the same galant theme. Mounted in white mother-of-pearl, engraved and silvered. The center features an oriental-style grisaille engraving. Metal clasp. H.t. 26.5 cm In a cardboard box bearing the address of a fan store in Brussels (wear, restoration).
