Colored birds and butterflies, circa 1830 Painted goose feather fan, framed with gold scrolls, birds and multicolored butterflies. Mounted in pierced bone, inlaid with steel flakes. The plumes are lined with horn imitating tortoiseshell, and adorned with steel flakes and glass half-pearls. H.t. 24 cm (wear, minor restorations)
