The Judgment of Paris, Europe, circa 1750 Folded fan, the leaf in skin, mounted in the English style, and painted of the shepherd Pâris offering the golden apple to the most beautiful of all women, Venus. The reverse is painted with a lover offering a basket of fruit to a young woman. Mounted in white mother-of-pearl, pierced, carved, engraved, burgundy and gilded, decorated with three animated cartels of children playing or fishing, in the taste of Pillement. Height 29.2 cm (incomplete, accidents, restorations, does not fold)
